What is CSR accreditation?
Payaro is proud and honoured to be the UK’s first payments company to be awarded CSR Accreditation, the global standard for social responsibility.
It is awarded only to organisations that can demonstrate their commitment to integrating social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into their business strategy and operations.
CSR Accreditation provides businesses with an effective way to benchmark their CSR efforts against their peers and competitors, track their progress and plan their future activities.
To achieve it, firms must demonstrate the impact their activities have in four key areas of CSR – environment, workplace, community and philanthropy.
They focus on areas such as energy efficiency, recycling, staff engagement, health and wellbeing, community engagement and supporting charities.
CSR-accredited organisations can use the CSR Accreditation logo for three years to showcase their commitment to – and excellence in – CSR to give consumers, suppliers, customers and staff confidence and peace of mind.
How Payaro can help you meet your CSR objectives
We’re passionate about working with like-minded customers and partners who want to offer hope to society’s most vulnerable.
Whenever a customer buys anything using a credit or debit card, a small fee is charged to the business owner. A portion of that fee is automatically donated to one of our charity partners, and we make a donation too.
While the individual amounts are tiny, when they are multiplied by the number of card transactions we process every day, it soon adds up to a considerable amount.
We are currently supporting the Buddy Bag Foundation, a Midlands based charity that helps young children in emergency accommodation after fleeing domestic violence.
It provides children entering emergency care with a backpack containing all the essential items they need, such as toiletries, pyjamas, socks, underwear and comfort items like a book and a teddy bear.
It’s a wonderful cause that we are proud to support. We’re also hoping to connect with several other charity partners in the months ahead.
